Cream First Crit Series

Round 4 of the series and five team members went up to race.

Saint Piran Active in Chaotic Night of Racing

There were 20 plus riders on the line tonight, which brought a high level of sketchiness to the bunch, resulting in three crashes over the course of the race. Despite the chaotic conditions, Saint Piran executed a strong team performance, securing *1st, 5th, 6th, and 13th* places.

### Team Strategy & Race Execution

The team went into the race with a clear tactical plan: keep attacking and force the main group to do the chasing until a Saint Piran rider could successfully establish a breakaway. Once a rider got clear, the remaining teammates were tasked with controlling the bunch and shutting down any counter-attacks to prevent rival riders from bridging across.

The strategy paid off perfectly when *Mahir A.* made it into the decisive breakaway. Mahir rode for 30 minutes with a group of three riders who were all willing to work together to stay away, ultimately taking a brilliant win. *Jay* made a valiant effort to bridge across to the front move but just missed the junction.

### Controlling the Bunch

With Mahir up the road, *Lewis, **Gary, and **Jay* immediately went to work at the front of the peloton. They successfully controlled the pace and disrupted the chase, ensuring no large numbers could organize a bridge attempt.

In the final fast and hectic kick to the line, *Lewis* launched into the bunch sprint, crossing the line *2nd in the field sprint* to take an impressive *5th place overall* on the night, with *Jay* following closely behind in *6th*.

### Success in the Go Race

Earlier in the evening, *Lucy* lined up in the Go Race alongside two other women to gain valuable racing experience for the future. Lucy rode a tactically superb race, launching a decisive, long-range attack on the final corner to gap the other two riders and storm away to take an excellent victory.
