Known locally as Saint Piran cafe, the Bissoe cafe or previously Bike Chain Bissoe, we are a Cafe and bike hire venue nestled amongst the old quarries and smokestacks of yesteryear Cornwall.

We can offer you a place to sit, rest your weary legs, and appreciate the beautiful scenery. We offer our own blend of Saint Piran Coffee, and a choice of locally-sourced, hand-cooked food prepared by our catering staff to refuel you and see you on your way. We have plenty of space so we often have live music, mother and baby session, craft classes and home-schooling events.

Bike Hire at the Cafe

We partner with some of the best bicycle manufacturers in the world, Trek & Cannondale. We have a wide range of bikes available including mountain bikes, electric bikes, kids bikes and trailers. 

There are so many places to ride straight from the cafe doorway. Head to either coast on the family friendly, traffic free Coast-to-Coast trail, or go and explore the area’s mining heritage on the Mineral Trail or Great Flat Lode (it’s not flat). There are plenty of road options too with a wealth of quiet back-lanes leading to secluded coves, rivers and stunning views. The team at the Cafe have put route ideas together for you (button above) and can help arrange what equipment or routes best suit you or your group.
