Tom Mazzone Signs For Saint Piran
We are delighted to announce that Tom Mazzone has joined the team for the 2021 season.
The 27-year-old from the Isle of Man joins from Continental team Vitus Pro Cycling, where he was a team-mate of another new Saint Piran rider, Stephen Bradbury.
Like all riders, Tom’s 2020 season was prematurely curtailed by Covid-19, but not before he put in an impressive performance at the Grand Prix de la Ville de Lillers in March with a 22nd place finish, and won the Manx National Road Race Championships.
2019 was a strong season for Tom, with wins in the British TLI National Road Race Championships, a 2nd place on Stage 3 of the Manx International and the race’s Green Jersey, together with some good results in the UK National Road Series.
Tom raced with Continental team, Holdsworth in 2018, riding in that season’s Tour de Yorkshire and the Tour of Qinghai Lake in China. The highlight of the year, however, was his participation in the Commonwealth Games Road Race on Australia’s Gold Coast, representing the Isle of Man.
Tom commented:
“I’m really excited to be signing for Saint Piran. The team is unique in many ways and not only has great racing ambitions, but also provides a pathway for younger men and women to develop in the sport, building a sustainable project that is growing year-on-year.”
Welcome to Saint Piran, Tom!
