Saint Piran riders back in racing action

Saint Piran Elite and Development riders have been back in action - on road, track and hills - in the last few days.

In his first ‘open’ hill climb (at Leadenham), Matt Ellis made it to the podium, finishing just 2.4 seconds behind the leader in 3rd place. Read more about Matt’s 2020 hill climb ambitions HERE

Tristan Davies rode to an equally impressive 10th place - out of a field of 120 - in the prestigious 4.2 mile Porlock Hill Climb event.

Steve Lampier has maintained his 100% TT record since returning from injury, taking the win with a time of 19:09 in the Tavistock Wheelers 10m event.

Steve was also in action at the Torbay Velopark crits last weekend, taking 3rd place in the Elite/1st-3rd Cat race.

The Saint Piran Development Team goes from strength and were also well represented at Torbay.

In his first event of the kind, Jordan Retallack won the 4th Cat event - taking both the points and overall race. Phil Bowden finished in 11th place.

Rob McPherson won the 3rd Cat race with Phil Collings coming in 9th.

It’s great to see Saint Piran riders continuing to fly the flag for the team and our sponsors in these trying times and we fully expect more success for both teams in the coming weeks.
