Rob Cowsill – Independent Financial Adviser for SWLaw Investment & Financial Planning Limited

I returned to the South West in 2010 having graduated from the University of Stirling with an undergraduate degree in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Finance. I then spent the next 5 years working in the areas of both corporate and personal insolvency, obtaining his Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency, before joining SWLaw Investment & Financial Planning.

I hold the Diploma of the Personal Finance Society (DipPFS) and the CII Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice; as well as the relevant qualifications in Equity Release and Protection. My primary role involves guiding clients with investment and pension decisions and aiding home movers with mortgage applications and refinancing.

When I’m not revising for the never-ending professional exams or completing one of the numerous annual subscriptions, I enjoy walking the dogs and frustrating motorists on my bicycle. Through entering registered cycle events and road races, I have not only become a fanatic of the sport – obsessed with the wind direction and sporting smoother legs than a Victoria Secrets model – but I have also met some interesting and dynamic characters; including many of those involved with creating and advancing Saint Piran Pro Cycling.

The Saint Piran team represents many values SWLaw Investment & Planning hold dear; promoting our beautiful home, giving young people a chance and tirelessly striving to better oneself… all with a refreshing lack of pretence. The opportunity to be involved in such a project just couldn’t be ignored and we’re delighted to be supporting Saint Piran Pro Cycling going forward.
