2020 Tour of Britain to start in Cornwall

Saint Piran are delighted to share in the top cycling news story that the Tour of Britain is starting in Cornwall in 2020.

Steve Lampier has been Britain’s most successful domestic professional rider in the event in recent years and his VIP invite to today’s launch along with development rider Joe Healey is testimony to the growing status of Saint Piran in UK racing.

“Our vision or dream is to give young riders the chance to race at the highest level and nothing gets bigger than the TOB, we would of course love a slot in the race but that is another level, one dependant on racing budget and rider strength” Said Richard Pascoe Team Principle.

“If you look at the journey over the last four years we have come a long way. Being an Elite team we have to keep focusing on ambition and be realistic”

We have been working behind the scenes to support cycling in the county and give the region a specific cycling outlet for talented riders.

Saint Piran is the patron Saint of the county and tin mining, we strive to develop Cornish talent and support cycling in its widest forms, fitness, fun, physical and mental wellbeing and be a serious economic generator of income for Cornwall.
