SWXC - XCR rnd2

Saturday took me back to wheel velocity’s XCR race at Wheel Jane for my second race in this old dudes comeback. 

No Will in attendance meant it was down to me to create drama in the warm-up/practice lap.  Over the bars in the ‘rock garden’ and broken bars over the ‘tyres’ saw me have to rob a pair of handlebars from Sarah’s bike to get me back on the bike. 

All this before I’d even started racing. 

The race as before was great fun, technical in one half and more flowing with hills in the second made for another great Saturday evening on the MTB. 

Although no teamies at this one I still felt part of a team.  A race long battle for the lead saw me finish in 2nd place overall,  not bad again for an aging pair of legs.
