Exeter Wheelers 15M Hilly TT
The Four Firs TT, a long-standing sporting time trial in Exeter, marked my first TT of the season, and it was a strong way to open the TT season.
Overall, I’m really pleased with how the ride went. The conditions weren’t straightforward, with some gusty crosswinds making handling on the front end a bit sketchy at times. On top of that, I was held up at three separate points by traffic through junctions and roundabouts.
Despite that, I delivered a solid performance and executed the course well, coming away with 7th place in a time of 40:49. Nearly a five-minute PB on my previous ride here two years ago, which is a really encouraging step forward.
It’s good to be back racing with strong numbers and feeling in control throughout. With a packed TT calendar ahead, this sets a great foundation for the rest of the season — I’m looking forward to building on this and pushing further.
