Saint Piran announce participation in the 2023 Tour of Britain

We are thrilled to announce that we will be lining up for the third consecutive year on the start line of The Tour of Britain!

As a team, we have been making waves in the sport over the past few years, and are expected to bring our A-game to the prestigious event. As a team, we have been on an upward trajectory since our inception in 2016, with this year’s team having a strong roster of riders, including some of the most promising young talents in British Cycling.

The Tour of Britain, which takes place over multiple stages and covers hundreds of miles, is a gruelling test of endurance and skill. It attracts some of the world's top cyclists and is widely regarded as one of the most important events in the cycling calendar. Since making our tour debut in 2021 we have had two riders – Adam Lewis and Alex Richardson - claim the daily combativity award for their efforts in illuminating the race.

Sports Director Steve Lampier, said: “The Tour of Britain is the pinnacle of our season. It’s Britain’s biggest race and therefore the most important event on our calendar, so everything’s geared to that first week in September. The race is always hotly contested and gives us a chance for us to go up against the big teams. Given that last year we came close to a victory with Alex [Richardson] on stage three before the race got shortened, the fire is burning very bright to try and better that performance in 2023.

The Tour of Britain is set to take place in September and promises to be a thrilling event with more epic racing and unforgettable moments. For us as a team, the Tour of Britain represents an opportunity to showcase our talent on the international stage and to compete against some of the best riders in the world
