Saint Piran Announces Max Walker For 2024

Saint Piran is thrilled to introduce the latest addition to our 2024 squad, Max Walker, who joins us from Trinity Racing, where he showcased his racing prowess over the past three years. Max's impressive results from the last season have captured our attention, particularly his outstanding third-place finish at the Beaumont Trophy, where he competed against Finn and Jack at the finish. Additionally, Max delivered a commendable performance at the Tour of Britain, further solidifying his status as a formidable competitor.

With Max on board, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming 2024 race season and the exciting prospects he brings to the team. We are confident that Max will make significant contributions to the success of Saint Piran.

“How can we stress the importance of Saint Piran both domestically and as an avenue for riders seeking progress through to the world tour? Without ourselves or Trinity within the UK, these isnt a clear progression pathway. Riders can leapfrog from junior ranks, but the traditional rider development through a progressive programme is the main pathway. Step in Max, who in my mind has already made the level required to step into the world tour. An incredible 9th in the under 23 world championships in a normal year would see him snapped up. This year in cycling, there have been some monumental changes resulting in a reduction of capacity in the world tour new rider intake. Max is swapping his ‘Trinity’ kit for the men in black, and we would like to thank Andrew McQuad for working with us on several team matters. We have, in our own part, seen Saint Piran work with Trinity to further enhance riders' development” - Richard Pascoe

“I’m eager to get started with Saint Piran. Although I hoped to make the move to the World Tour this year, I’m very confident that Saint Piran is the team that will help get me there in 2025. The array of successful results in 2023 and a strong race calendar for 2024 speak volumes to this. From racing against Saint Piran for numerous years now, I’ve always thought the team looks like great fun with a strong roster of riders and supportive staff. I look forward to racing in black in 2024” - Max Walker
