ISO Spaces Sponsors Saint Piran

Truro-based modular build company, ISO Spaces will sponsor Saint Piran at the Tour of Britain race this September.

MD of ISO Spaces and keen cyclist, Ben Treleaven recently found himself with a puncture at the site of Bike Chain Ricci in Bissoe. Owner of Bike Chain, Richard Pascoe agreed to fix the puncture if Ben signed ISO Spaces up as a sponsor of Saint Piran for the Tour of Britain. A new, long term partnership was born.

Ben Treleaven comments: “Ricci made a cheeky ask whilst repairing my puncture, but actually it was something I had wanted to speak to him about for a while. This is just the start of what I see as a long-term commitment from ISO Spaces to support the Cornish cycling team.”

The Tour of Britain is the UK’s biggest bike race. This year, for the first time ever, Cornwall will host the Grand Départ stage of the race. Riders will leave Penzance on 5th September and cover 170km across St Just, St Ives, Hayle, Camborne, Pool and other towns in the county, before moving into Devon for stage two of the race.

The Saint Piran team recently secured UCI Continental status, opening the way for the team to bid for a spot in the Tour of Britain.

Treleaven commented: “We already work with British Cycling and Access Sport to provide cycle storage and charging points for electric bikes, so this felt like a very good fit.

“It’s very important to me that we support Cornwall’s cycling infrastructure, so our partnership with Saint Piran further solidifies our commitment to the sport locally.”
