The Valley Hosts Saint Piran's December Training Camp

The Saint Piran Continental Team held its last training camp of 2021 at the weekend. Existing and new riders descended on Bissoe for two days of riding, talks and, of course, the all-important team-bonding in the evening.

For new Saint Piran DS, Steve Lampier, it was the first opportunity since he took on the role after retiring from the road to get most of the 2021-22 squad together. Aided by Performance Director, Liam Holohan, it was a chance to talk through plans for the coming season and to get out onto the roads of west Cornwall for a blast of winter air ahead of the festive season.

The riders’ accommodation was provided by our partner (and all-round favourite place!) The Valley, in nearby Carnon Downs. The Valley is the perfect venue for cyclists, with its cosy cottages set in a wooded valley between Truro and Falmouth. All the riders thoroughly enjoyed their stay and our thanks go to the wonderful staff and management for making everyone so welcome.

There are plans in the works for some very exciting weekends and weeks, based at The Valley and at Saint Piran HQ in Bissoe, that will be open to leisure riders and aspiring racers in 2021. Look out for more details in the New year, and in the meantime, check out The Valley HERE
