Saint Piran Development Team go into the blue.

Over the next twelve months, the Saint Piran Development team will be wearing their new distinctive blue racing and leisure kit.

The squad and its equipment is the result of a collaboration between many partners.

“Firstly the look and feel of the team has been a challenge from the off”, explains Development Team Manger, Jenny Bolsom. “Initially there was a lot of work with Steve Lampier and myself because British Cycling regulations dictate that a development team cannot have the same identity as their Elite colleagues.”

Steve Lampier explains, “There are some very subtle and a few less subtle changes to our racing kit this year, which is in our traditional unique black colour.”

“Race organisers sometimes don’t like large squads competing in the same kit. It’s up to them, but they could refuse entry for the younger Development riders.”

“We are about racing and keeping the same brand image for Saint Piran”, added Richard Pascoe, “and respecting organisers wishes.”

The design and image for the Development team has been put together by Jenny with both Castelli, our race clothing suppler, and Umbro .

Today we received our Umbro leisure tops and given the turbulent season, they will be a welcome boost. Here’s a sneak preview to give a clue of how our new kit will look.

We have started Zwift racing in the South West series as a team and can’t wait to show off our new colours .
