Lampier claims King of the Mountains title in the South Coast Classic

Saint Piran’s Steve Lampier grabbed the King of the Mountains title in last weekend’s South Coast Classic. The 156km race, which started and finished in Eastbourne and took in the iconic Beachy Head, was the 8th round of the HSBC Men’s Road Series.

The race was won by Swift Carbon’s Jacob Scott with Lampier coming in 14 seconds later in fourth place. The Saint Piran man claimed the King of the Mountains prize with 21 points, ahead of Swift Carbon’s James Shaw on 17.

The series now moves on to the Isle of Man for Round 9 next weekend.
