RIDING STYLE: Triathlon, TT

BIO

I have always ridden a bike and given the choice of a motorbike or a mountain bike for my 16th birthday, the human powered option won.

Always used a bike as my main form of transport, until kids came along and that coincided with moving into riding on skinny tyres and joining one and all cycling, becoming a committe member and coach, this in turn led me into becoming a bikeability instructor and thanks to the guidance and kind words from Len Pascoe going into the commissaire side of cycling, rising to National XC , 4x and downhill level.

A short break from cycling gave me time to try Triathlon , my first race being the half brutal in memory of my dad ( I have unfinished business with that mountain )

I made a return to the sport last year with Roadford sprint , hadn’t done much in the way of training but came 4th in my age cat missing a podium by less than 30 seconds thanks to a bungled T2 , although I was fastest overall on the bike stage in my cat with an overall placing 13th out of 88 on a rough course.

That event got me hooked back into the sport.

Planned 2026 events

  • The full brutal triathlon

  • The castle to Coast triathlon

  • Eastbourne super sprint

  • Roadford Tri

  • Plus a few local TT and trail running races
