RIDING STYLE: Road, Endurance, Gravel, (CX/XC/MTB coming soon)
BIO
My love for cycling started as a young boy, first with a Raleigh Tomahawk, followed by a Raleigh BMX and then my first 'drop handle bar' racer, another Raleigh of course (Other makes were available haha)!
Life, work and driving took over the next few years and my cycling days stopped.
I returned to cycling after being inspired by the 2012 London Olympics, purchasing a bike through the cycle to work scheme. Though I didn't ride it in earnest until 2014 when a work colleague suggested we ride together. That first ride was hard, but I've never looked back.
I'm primarily a road cyclist and my rides have either been solo or group orientated. I've ridden in many sportives throughout the UK of varying distance, the longest being 262kms. I really like endurance events! I've ridden abroad in Italy, San Marino and Mallorca, climbing Sa Calobra in 2025.
In 2024 I found a love for gravel riding. That's opened up a whole new world to me, especially in Cornwall with all our mining trails.
I've never competed at any level, so I'm looking at 2026 as being the year I take the leap of faith and enter my first event!
I also plan to try CX and MTB as new experiences.
I've been a supporter of the Saint Piran brand for some time, having always felt supported by Ricci and all the Service Course team, so looking forward to representing them.
