Lives: Worcester

Style of rider: XC MTB, CX

I started cycling as soon as I could walk! We lived on the edge of Mortimer Forest growing up, and as Mum and Dad were keen mountain bikers, we went out as a family every Sunday as a family. I didn’t start racing until 2018. My Twin took up racing before me and inspired me to start myself as I ended up pitting for her most races and thought it looked more fun the other side of the tape. Racing gives me the opportunity to travel places which I wouldn’t necessarily see if I didn’t race, and I also enjoy the social aspect and now have many friends within the cycling world. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming it’s like a family!

One of my most memorable moments in my few years of racing would be winning National 24hr Championships in 2021. Another is coming 2nd in 2019 at the final round of the National Series and then finishing 5th at National Championships in the same year. I would like to finish in the top 5 next year at a National XC series race and would like to place well at National Championships. I would also like to be selected to represent GB at the National Marathon World Championships.

Saint Piran will help massively being able to have a team around me to support me with my goals. I’ve always noticed the lovely team atmosphere at races and everyone has been very friendly which is what I liked most about the team initially! Having the opportunity to race internationally is also amazing!

Outside of cycling I work as an Accountant in Worcester, and enjoy long walks with my family and dog in my spare time.
