John served in the Devon and Cornwall Police Service for over 28 years and retired as Detective Chief Inspector in 2016 has since that time been the director of his own business and the CEO of a national CIC.

Throughout his life, he has been involved in cycle racing as a rider, and race organiser, (including two national championships) and served on the southwest and national committees. For the past 7 years, he continued working within the cycling world whilst living in France and worked during that time with a National Division 1 French Team at races throughout France and at the Tour de Guadeloupe. His primary focus was on the development of young British riders and giving them the opportunity to race throughout France. John also acted as Saint Piran European Director Sportive on occasions and now having returned to Cornwall is really looking forward to his role as the Senior Management Team Director.
