I started road cycling at university, mostly as a social thing and to keep fit. I then gave mountain biking a go in 2021 and it didn’t take long to realise that I had found something I have a real passion for. I got an XC bike a year later and quickly got the bug for racing.

I’m lucky enough to have lived in some amazing places for riding, living in Dunkeld when I first started mountain biking and now in the Tweed Valley. My motivation for riding comes from just being able to get outside in these places and switch off from everything. I like pushing myself to get faster and to ride more difficult trails, and racing is the natural conclusion of that.

One of my most notable moments was coming 4th at the 2022 national XCO championships. I was very new to XC racing at the time and was really surprised with the result. It left me really motivated for training and racing. Illness and injury meant my season didn’t go to plan in 2023, but this has made me determined to make up for that in 2024!

My aspirations are get some podiums at national level, and I also hope to do some international races next season too. My ultimate goal is to keep pushing myself and see how far I can get.

I have ambitious racing goals and having the support of Saint Piran will be a massive help in achieving these goals. I am also really looking forward to having a great group of team mates at the races next year!

Outside of cycling I work as a software engineer, and enjoy playing the piano and baking.
