RIDING STYLE: All-rounder

BIO

Although I was born in Toronto, Canada, I was raised on the West Coast with a brief family move to Switzerland when I was just 5 years old. It was in Switzerland where I developed a passion for alpine skiing and learned to ride my bike. Upon our return to Canada, I became a competitive downhill ski racer for several years. At 15, I added bike racing to my “off-season”, competing in all disciplines: track, road, mountain and cross. Eventually, I decided to focus on road racing specifically and with the help of my coach Richard Wooles I was able to achieve success quickly.I graduated high school early and went to France, racing for the Culture Velo Junior team in the south of France for three months.  I achieved a number of podiums and some good results there as it supported my aggressive style of racing. In my U23 year, I raced for a Canadian trade team called TaG Cycling but did little racing due to covid restrictions for the next couple of years. I found the race restrictions and limited racing frustrating because I truly love racing. To avoid another year of restricted racing in North America, I knew I had to get to Europe. I was fortunate to join and race for a German Continental Team and it was an amazing experience.  It really instilled in me the desire to make it to the top in road cycling. When I am not racing I am a passionate coffee connoisseur, runner, and skier and generally love to be outside exploring with my family. I am interested in the science of nutrition and body mechanics. In the off-season, I am enrolled at the University of Victoria, Faculty of Engineering, where I am studying Computer Science.

2022 has been my best year and I achieved a number of my goals. This year I am excited to be joining Saint Piran and look forward to continuing my learning and development. I believe that under the leadership of Steve and Ricci I can contribute to the team’s success.
