working in the community

One of Saint Piran’s core principles is to leave a lasting legacy in cycling and in the community. It is one of the reasons the Saint Piran programme was established and we continue to drive that principle in everything we do.

  • Saint Piran Pro Cycling is the only UK professional team to establish a community interest company to inspire communities to get on two wheels.

  • We run a range of community cycling days for people to cycling for free and women’s race programmes across the South West of England.

  • All riders and staff are required to complete three days volunteering a year to further the impact in cycling in local communities. It is written into their code of conduct.

  • We have committed to working with Cornwall Council on a range of sustainability projects including getting young people on bikes and encouraging those with bikes to ride more.

  • Saint Piran has signed up to be an active partner in the renewal of Cornish town Redruth, with a central community cycling hub to promote the sport and pastime.

  • We have committed to working with our Cornish Diaspora communities across the World asking for ways Saint Piran and cycling can make a difference including Central America, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
Feedback will be shared across cycling.

  • Sponsors are supporting our progress in the community with a united approach to cycling in and around Cornwall.

  • The 0503 development team is focused on giving chances to those who might not have the resources to buy bikes or race.
