BIO

I got into cycling by going to watch my dad race at cyclo-cross and road events, and then my dad entered me in a U10s cyclo-cross race when I was 6 years old and I finished dead last. I progressed through cyclo-cross in my youth years and I was the leading Eastern girl in my categories for 4 years. I then took up track cycling and progressed onto the Olympic development programme but at the time they were looking more for sprinters and didn’t progress any further. During that time I was racing on the road and as much as I could. I was really getting into my road racing where I suffered a significant injury that led me to be out of the sport for 2 years and a long period of time off the bike. I returned to racing in 2022 and to my surprise my first race I won in a solo break from a half distance. The next significant period of my racing was during the Tour Series, where I was at the sharp end of every round and my best result was 5th place at Galashiels. A very significant moment this year was gaining my 1st category license first year back. Outside of cycling - I have been making jewellery for a short while but it’s mainly all about the bike. After finishing my degree in Sport and Exercise Science, I decided to take a year out to concentrate more on my racing to see how far I can get. I intend to at some point do further study for a masters focusing in nutrition/sports nutrition.

CYCLING ASPIRATIONS

My cycling aspirations short term are to win a race early in the season, win a road race, podium, a win at Tour Series and national crit series, win a European kermesse. My long-term aspirations are podium at a national road race, podium in the national crit championships and top 5 in the road national championships.

IMPACT OF SAINT PIRAN

I am really excited/grateful to have been asked to ride for Saint Piran as I know that the help and support they provide to their riders will greatly impact my development as a cyclist allowing me to progress further and to fulfill mine and the team's ambitions.
