Sam Culverwell signs for Saint Piran Pro Cycling
Guernsey’s Sam Culverwell (22) has signed with Saint Piran Pro Cycling joining the Saint Piran family.
Sam is an incredibly talented rider, exhibiting the Saint Piran belief that cycling is truly a multi-disciplinary sport. Sam is as comfortable on a cyclocross and gravel bike as he is on a road bike and we think we are yet to see the best from Sam.
Sam recently finished a highly successful 3rd place at the British National Gravel Championships this year and will represent Team GB at the World Gravel Championships on 7th October.
Team Owner Richard Pascoe said, “For me, Sam is a multi-discipline rider who offers not only a wider media appeal which is important in this modern age of social media and multi-discipline cycling but he adds strength and depth to the exciting team. My heart and passion lie in seeing him fulfil his potential. That process is all about not just a great race program and performance-based kit but is about understanding and mentoring young riders.”
DS Steve Lampier “Sam is a very strong addition to the Saint Piran set-up. Sam Culverwell is the current Isle Games champion and brings key knowledge and experience to our present line-up.”
Sam Culverwell said: “I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to be back racing at the Continental Level and with Saint Piran after their very successful year. I’m looking forward to the next year of racing opportunities”.
