London Dynamo Congratulate Rowan Baker

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all involved at London Dynamo for the positive and kind words the genuine desire to see Rowan Baker progress is unique. We want to build on this relationship and we propose to feature London Dynamo on our website as an example of best practice, we also want to make sure our athlete is available to the club for rides outs talks seminars, etc, or anything else the club may have or request not only do we build this into rider contracts but it’s crucial for all of us in the ecosystem to have this type of relationship. Bizarrely I have tried reaching out to various teams and clubs in the past when we have had their riders added to our Rosta in the past and all have fallen on deaf ears! I was beginning to lose faith as two were UK elite teams and three we sold called progressive clubs, all we proposed was a link to amplify the good work of the club

The work Saint Piran does to develop young riders into potential World Tour pros is essential yet lacking the recognition it deserves. In fact this entire tier of the sport in the UK - the link from grassroots to european professional racing is completely underfunded and under supported. Saint Piran utilises a variety of mechanisms to help fund their programme and provide their riders with the opportunities they deserve. Part of their funding model is a type of crowdfunding where supporters can contribute to the cost of the rider. Both Saint Piran and London Dynamo would be very grateful if you felt able to contribute to Rowan’s future”
