Saint Piran’s Continental Team Will Ride Lapierre Bikes From 2021

Mesdames et messieurs, je vous présente Cycles Lapierre et Saint Piran!

Just a day after the official announcement that Saint Piran will be riding in this year’s Tour of Britain, we are delighted to announce a new partnership between the Saint Piran Continental Team and iconic French bicycle manufacturer, Lapierre. The two organisations will work together closely over the coming seasons, meaning that Saint Piran will be riding Lapierre machines in the top races in the UK and on the Continent – including the Tour of Britain and the Tour Series.

The Lapierre Aircode DRS 6.0 will be the team bike for this year. This aero machine has been through several iterations since launch and is now more rigid, aerodynamic and most importantly, faster, than ever.

Saint Piran senior rider Steve Lampier said:

“A few of the riders have already received their Lapierre bikes. They are very happy with the performance of their new machines and are really fired up about taking them into battle on the roads this year.”

The entire team should be fully kitted out with Aircode 6.0s by June this year, in time for the big races that lie ahead for Saint Piran as a newly minted Continental team.

We must, of course, take a moment to thank Colnago, who have been our bike brand partner for the last several years. We have come a long way together, but we both feel that the time is now right for us to go in a different direction. The great memories we created from working together will always remain, however. 

Looking forward, we now have Saint Piran men and women’s teams riding Lapierre bikes, and we can’t wait to finally get back to racing and to start creating history with our new partners.
