Stephen Bradbury back in action for Saint Piran
Stephen was in west London on Tuesday 20th April at the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit, racing in the Miche West Thames League event.
Stephen describes the action:
“After 408 days out of racing, I returned to Hillingdon. A race of only 30 mins meant that it was very fast, with attacks going left and right. At the half-way mark I got away in a group of three, but the high average speed meant that we weren't able to stay away and it came back together for a bunch sprint.
I was well placed coming into it, but a 'stall' with 450m to go meant I felt I had to take on the sprint. So I lead out and tried to hold it to the line. Matt King of Team PB Performance was able to come round me and Cameron McLaren from Nopinz Development pipped me on the line, so it was third place for me.”
Stephen joins the rest of the Saint Piran squad for a second team training camp down in Cornwall this weekend as we step up preparations for the full resumption of the race calendar.
