BIO

I went on a ride when I was younger with my parents when I was around the age of 9 and I bumped into the owner of a local cycling club at a cafe. We got talking to him and he suggested I come along and try a session. From that day I went to my local Cycling Club, Derwentside. Riding cyclocross became my thing, as I loved the mud and the full out effort of racing. As I got older I started to try road racing and I started to race more and more road and started competing in the national youth series as un u14. I continued with DCC till I was a junior. I was lucky enough to achieve a place on Tofauti Everyone Actives cycling team. Over the next 2 years I raced the junior national series and was lucky enough to compete abroad in Nations Cup events and Belgium Kermesses, developing as a rider. Coming from an off-road background has allowed me to ride and race all across the UK and Europe, meeting lots of great people along the way, and I’m very thankful for all the opportunities I have had. Another few of my hobbies are cooking and baking, I love thinking of new recipes for people to try. I also just finished A-Level Chemistry and Biology and I’m currently taking an applied science course to develop more lab skills. Cycling has helped me so much in everyday life. The friends I have made in cycling will stick with me for forever. I’m very grateful for all the opportunities cycling has offered me.

NOTABLE CAREER MOMENTS

Riding in a GB kit at World Cup events, European championships and World Championships for cyclocross. Placing 15th in European championships was also a highlight for me!

4 National Trophy wins and podiums throughout the series.

2nd at National Championships for cyclocross.

Northern cyclocross champion as a u12, u14, u16 and as a junior.

Regional road champion throughout the years.

CYCLING ASPIRATIONS

Joining Saint Piran this year I will be going into my first year in U23 category. My main aim for this year is to learn and develop as a rider and gain as much experience as I can racing in elite women’s fields, and learning the skills of racing. Over the next few years I hope to get stronger as a rider and my ultimate goal at the end, hopefully, is to one day get to be world champion.

IMPACT OF SAINT PIRAN

The opportunity to join the Saint Pirans Women’s Road team is one I’m very lucky to have. The team has so much knowledge and so much support. I am really looking forward to being a part of this amazing team for the upcoming 2024 season!
