RIDING STYLE: Time trialist

Bio

I’m an ex-high-performing rower, who switched to cycling during the covid lockdown. I’ve always had a strong connection to cycling as both my parents were ex-Great Britain track riders. I love the high-intensity feel of a town centre crit, the speed you’re doing on roads with street furniture and crowds lining the barriers. On the other end of the spectrum, racing against the clock, either on time trials or on the track, optimizing everything from aerodynamics to physical ability is really motivating. Outside of cycling I have many hobbies, often taking my time away from cycling but mostly working closely with it. Photography, music, camping/adventures are my main hobbies. I work as a cycling coach, which benefits my own cycling by holding myself accountable and constantly learning. Always learning is the key to motivation for me.

Notable moments in cycling career

Short cycling career but racing 5 rounds of the Tour Series in 2022 has been my biggest highlight and achievement. Track nationals and national TT champs come a close second.

Cycling aspirations

Track nationals, medaling in the pursuit or kilo, that’s my biggest goal. Second to that competing well on the road, specifically the National circuit series. Longterm, to win the National 10 TT, a niche but well-recognized achievement in the cycling scene.

Impact of Saint Piran

Saint Piran were my first and only team in cycling, I started my career here and although switched between the development team and now 05/03, being in the Saint Piran family is where I’ve made all my personal development as a rider and coach
