Saint Piran says ‘Cheers and Gone’ to Christina

As the 2023 season draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on numerous moments that have shaped and defined our journey. A central figure within our team has been Christina, not only in the past season but since she joined us in February 2021. Together, we have embarked on many journeys, experiencing ups and downs, witnessing progression, embracing change, and sharing plenty of learning and laughter along the way.

It is with genuine sadness that we bid farewell to a phenomenal bike rider, a fantastic teammate, a true supporter of the Saint Piran family, and ultimately, an individual who has and will continue to inspire many. Christina's ability to transform from a bag of nerves to leaving everyone standing has been witnessed by us on many occasions, motivating teammates to race hard and for themselves as much as for the team.

Christina initially joined us with a focus on road racing, despite coming back from a nasty crash and injury. While she has raced in the Saint Piran jersey in multiple road races, the standout moment has to be the 'national road race.' In horrendous weather conditions, Christina's determination shone through as Olympic and World champions battled to catch up. Her love for riding a bike off-road was evident, and she excelled in the mountain biking world. Selected to represent GB in her first year showcased her talent, and her consistent results over the past two years have solidified her standing.

To highlight her achievements in 2023:

- 5th place in XC National champs

- 5th place in CX National champs

- 5th place in Hill Climb National champs

Christina expresses her gratitude, stating, "I’d like to say a huge thanks to Jenny, Ricci, and the whole Saint Piran team for their support over the last 3 years. It’s been fantastic to have been part of the development and growth of the off-road team, and I wish them every success in the future!"

It has been a privilege, and we all extend our best wishes to Christina in her future endeavors. The memories created are cherished, and we eagerly anticipate what the future holds.

Thank you!
