Cooper Sayers makes Zwift Road Acadamy Final

Another year, another Zwift Academy Final for Cooper Sayers. At Saint Piran, we are proud to be supporting our rider’s development across multiple platforms! Cooper will battle it out along with 4 other finalists in a bid to win a pro contract with UCI Pro Team Alpecin-Deceuninck.

Team Owner Richard Pascoe “In turbulent times that are being portrayed at the moment from certain sectors of cycling, teams demises and issues over partnership concerns of governing bodies, let’s sit and reflect on some really good news. An Australian rider comes to the U.K. that we at Saint Piran have accommodated, thrown him in at the deep end at racing and what an amazing job Cooper Sayers has done. He has come to the U.K. because U.K. racing is great, and what better time to remind people of that.

On a personal level what a great young man Cooper Sayers is. He lives close to the team base, here in Redruth (Cornwall). Watching him develop as a rider is an absolute blast for us. This is an example of our best practice. This is just the start for us as we begin to develop our new cycling hub- where we bring male and female riders in to develop them to race at the highest levels. We’ve already had some major interest from some amazing female athletes - which just shows we are doing things the right way!’

The whole of the Saint Piran family would like to wish Cooper the best of luck - and look forward to watching him the final waving the Saint Piran flag!
