Saint Piran teams up with Falmouth University School of Entrepreneurship

Saint Piran has always sought to do things differently, and that includes rethinking the traditional business model supporting professional cycling. While sponsorship will always be important to cycling teams, we are constantly looking for ways to create long term, sustainable revenue streams to support the team’s ambitions.

Over the last couple of years, we have been working with commercial partners to develop the Saint Piran brand. In that time, we’ve launched Saint Piran Cider (in partnership with Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm), Saint Piran Coffee (with Cornish Coffee) Saint Piran Ice Cream (with Callestick Farm) and Saint Piran Biscuits (with Furniss). We have also developed a range of Saint Piran branded clothing.

We’re very pleased to announce that Saint Piran is teaming up with Cornwall’s leading tertiary educational establishment to take the brand to the next level. We will be working with the team from the Launchpad Outreach Programme at the Falmouth University School of Entrepreneurship to identify areas for the expansion of the Saint Piran brand. We already have ideas for new products and services that would fit the brand ethos, and these will become an important source of financial support for the team’s racing ambitions.

So look out for future announcements on exciting new Saint Piran branded products and services as we take Cornwall’s flagship cycling team into 2020.
